Kara is very complex, and very hard to understand. Even those people who have known her for years still find themselves scratching their heads sometimes.

Because of the complex complexity of her complex nature, we're just going to generalize here.

Authority is something Kara has always bucked against, and disrespected. She's a rebel, and a loner, though as much as she likes, and feels she deserves, being alone, she's much happier in a community setting, even though she's usually the black sheep of it.

Kara has extreme emotional trauma from an abusive childhood, a life full of being abandoned, and disregarded, and had closed herself off, and built thirty million mile high walls around herself, and the moment she feels anything at all for anyone, she usually will do all she can to push them away, feeling as though she doesn't deserve that kind of care, and that they don't deserve having her and her problems in their life.

Kara is a smart ass, and has a temper, and will mouth off to anyone about anything, and is not afraid to speak her mind regardless of the consequences. She's also not afraid to assault a person, male or female, in authority or a peer.

She's brave, reckless, and daring, and does love a good time. And by good time I mean, booze, gambling, cigars, and if at all possible an easy lay with a good looking guy.

Other small things, Kara is incredibly competitive, and will take practically any dare or challenge given her, and she can hold one hell of a grudge.

She's surprisingly sentimental when you least expect it, and though she's tough as nails, and would not in a thousands lifetimes admit it, she's very fragile underneath it all, and feels things very deeply, she just shuts away all her emotions and steels herself outwardly, so it's doubtful anyone would ever actually find that out.
