I'm not a perfect person There's many things I wish I didn't do But I continue learning Jack normally wasn’t the kind of guy who would find use for a punching bag let along a gym but he needed something to help him relax, to take his anger out on. Back Torchwood that would have been what the shooting range was for. He had found one of those but he didn’t want to waste his ammo nor could he find any other weapons to use. So he went and did the primitive thing to do and beat the crap out of something instead. The great coat along with his dress shirt and watch was laid up a bench not far from the punching bag. The leather wrist strap better known as a Vortex Manipulator was kept on. There was no way he was going to take that off, he never did.
With the Doctor here, he wondered if he could talk him into fixing it for him, well if he had a sonic on him or maybe they could fix it without a sonic. He had to admit to himself that it was kind of strange meeting an earlier Doctor even though he was rather cute. He had spend the night laying awake wondering if this was another one of the reasons the Doctor took him aboard the TARDIS back when he was ninth. That he already knew Jack because of this meeting. Jack hit the bag rather hard a couple of times out of anger. That would have meant that both of them knew that Jack would end up here and could have told him, gave him away out.
The next hour or so passed with Jack continuing to punch the bag, his knuckles pretty raw by the time he stopped and bleeding a little. He stood there for a moment wondering why his healing was slower than normal and made his way over to the bench and sat down. His white shirt wet with sweat along with his hair. A towel laying on the bench was used to wipe the blood from his hands. His head lowered slightly wondering if Gwen and Ianto thought he left them again, that he wasn’t going to be coming back this time. He had promised Ianto that he would never leave him and yet here he was without his partner.
A deep sigh was given as he wondered how they were doing; he hoped nothing was putting the Earth in danger. Jack needed to get out of here… needed to get back to being a protector with those he cared about.

J'onn had taken the opportunity to get a better familiarity with his new surroundings. He had already explored the residential tower, committing to memory every corridor and sleeping quarter that he could find. After all, it would be essential for his position as the Director of Erimos Security. Not that he wanted the job, of course; despite his vast amount of experience and knowledge, J'onn usually left it up to others to lead, particularly in the Justice League. It allowed those people around him to grow as individuals, and ensured that there was less stress on his shoulders so that he could focus entirely on helping others. In this case, however, he determined that there wasn't much of a choice. With literally hundreds of years in law enforcement across dozens of planets and abilities far beyond those of mortal men, he was the person most qualified to oversee the protection of the city and its citizens.
Other than the man he was now watching pound a punching bag into dust.
The Martian had happened upon the gymnasium while continuing his exploration of the facility. While it was already occupied, he chose not to leave immediately. Instead, he remained near the doorway, watching the man who had previously been aimed a gun directly at him. J'onn himself was clad in a dark blue suit, complete with an equally blue dress coat and slacks. His hair was gelled and parted, completing an appearance that was far too professional for idle roaming around the city.
"You have all of the same elements of a human being." He finally spoke up in that commanding voice of his, like a car rolling through gravel. "Heartbeat, skin, hair...not to mention a complete disregard for rational thinking. But your mind is a dead zone. Nothing but static. Your body produces pheromones on the level of an insect. I can smell them." With any other person, it may have sounded like J'onn was complimenting Jack, or even coming on to him. But his facial expression remained stoic, his lips permanently in a straight line with an overbite. "You're not entirely human, are you?"

Fighting was not something he did a lot, often times beating someone into a bloody pulp was saved for one Captain John Hart. A former lover who turned into an enemy of sorts and one that could not be trusted with a inch. Jack still cared for John but it was a matter of broken trust and knowing what the man was fully capable of. However tonight, Jack was in need of getting his anger out before he lashed out against someone again. He already yelled at the lady who was claiming she was president because he didn’t trust this place or anyone around it an knew those who appeared her along side him needed to work together in order to get back home but she was not willing to lead. All she wanted to do was play it safe, which had left him even more, frustrated than before.
When he heard a man’s voice, he glanced over in the direction of where the voice came. The man was dressed in a suit, a dark blue one that looked rather nice on him. But the whole dressed up in a suit reminded him of Ianto. No mattered what he tried to do to get Ianto relax and try something else beside a suit but the man said he had to look professional. Then again, he rather enjoyed seeing Ianto in a suit and couldn’t wait to get those layers off him. With this man, it brought a different feeling and he wasn’t sure if he could trust the guy or not. ”The heart of the TARDIS changed me..” He trailed off knowing that made no sense to anyone who didn’t know anything about the TARDIS. What happened to on that day that he died and was brought back was not something he really liked talking about.
The commanding voice was a little off putting but instead of matching it or trying to out do the other man, he talked in a calm voice. When rational thinking was brought up, Jack laughed. ”I can be rational times but I am more wreckless than anything else.” When he lost his fear of death, it left him nothing to be truly afraid of and he stopped being careful. Jack did have his fears though but not about his life though. His blue eyes glanced back over at the other male and he gave a grin followed by a smirk. ”51st Century pheromones for you. Hard for humans to resist no matter what century they are from.” Even though these things sounded like compliments, Jack knew better and he rose from the bench and looked over at the other man again. His eyes glancing him over and studying him close for a moment.
”I am a fixed point in time and space. Something that should never be or have happened in the end, I am a fact.” Jack said, recalling what the Doctor had told him once. His arms coming to cross across his chest as he stood there. His hands finally stop bleeding from the beating he had given the bag. ”I am wrong” He added, knowing to most that would sound like he was being rough and down on himself but he was just stating the truth. ”And you are not a human are you? You are able to pick up on things that only I have known the Doctor to pick up on.”
